2017 swingman Jermaine Samuels Jr. trimmed his list down to five schools on Thursday afternoon with the Hoosiers making the cut. Samuels, a four-star SF out of Masachussetts, is ranked as the 44th best player in 2017 and the 9th best small forward according to 247sports. Interestingly, 247 also listed Xavier as the heavy favorite. With the Musketeers out, Villanova and Duke will likely be the favorites.

Big recruiting news today as Bruce Brown, ranked #40 on the 2016 247Composite Rankings, cut his list to two schools, Indiana and Miami. Brown, who currently attends Vermont Academy (Emmitt Holt's alma mater), had taken numerous official visits as of late, including Indiana, Xavier, Miami, UMass, and most recently, Purdue. Brown will make his college choice this Wednesday, November 18th. With the Hoosiers set to lose Yogi Ferrell to graduation after the year, there will be an enticing opening on Indiana's roster, of which Tom Crean and co. hope Brown can fill.
