Kick time, TV assignment in place for IU’s trip to Western Kentucky

A night game in Bowling Green, Ky.? What could go wrong?

The first kickoff time and television assignment of the 2021 season is now on the books.

Indiana announced Wednesday that its Sept. 25 game at Western Kentucky will kick at 8 p.m. Eastern and air on CBS Sports Network in what will be the latest installment of Hoosier Football After Dark.

The trip to Bowling Green, Ky. feels like one of the more interesting wrinkles in the IU schedule, particularly because it falls between a highly-anticipated home game against Cincinnati and a trip to Penn State. Is this a ... t-t-t-trap game?

Anyway, IU leads the all-time series 3-0, including a road win in 2010. As we mentioned on Tuesday, the Hilltoppers are slotted at No. 99 in Pro Football Focus’ preseason rankings.
