Over the last two years, Indiana has been a regular in the various polls that dot the women’s basketball landscape. On Monday, Teri Moren’s crew reached a new milestone in their climb into the national conversation.

IU moved up one spot to No. 10 in this week’s poll, the Hoosiers’ highest placement in school history. This is the 35th consecutive week that Indiana has been ranked inside the AP Top 25, a streak that dates to the start of last season.

Indiana is one of five Big Ten teams included this week, joining No. 8 Maryland, No. 12 Michigan, No. 22 Ohio State and No. 24 Rutgers. The Hoosiers have won seven straight games entering the final two contests of the regular season — Wednesday at home against Iowa and Saturday at home against Purdue. Wednesday’s game will tip at 4:30 p.m. Eastern and air on Big Ten Network.

On Sunday, Indiana was projected as a No. 3 seed — and the No. 12 team overall — in next month’s NCAA Tournament.
