For the second time in two and a half weeks, Indiana’s scheduled contest with Rutgers has been postponed.
Once again, virus issues within the Scarlet Knights’ program led to the decision, which was made jointly by the two schools. According to a three-sentence release by IU, the programs will work with the Big Ten to try and reschedule the game later this season.
This is the fourth time that virus issues have upended the women’s calendar. The Hoosiers’ Dec. 12 game at Butler was canceled due to positive tests within the Bulldogs’ program. Then, in mid-January, IU had back-to-back games against Rutgers and Michigan State postponed because of issues with the Scarlet Knights and Spartans.
Indiana’s next scheduled game is Sunday at Iowa. That contest is slated to tip at 2 Eastern and air on ESPN2.
