The Indiana men’s team won’t make its scheduled trip to Michigan State on Sunday. The women’s squad is no longer hosting Rutgers on Monday, either.
Due to COVID-19 issues with their respective opponents, Indiana announced Thursday that both Hoosier basketball programs have some unplanned time off coming up. As of now, neither game appears to be canceled. Rather, the Big Ten will look to reschedule both contests for later in the season.
With Thursday’s news, the IU men will have a week between games. After hosting Purdue on Thursday night, the Hoosiers aren’t scheduled to play again until traveling to Iowa on Jan. 21.
It’s the same deal for the women’s team, which isn’t scheduled to hit the floor again until next Thursday at Michigan State.
