A spate of positive COVID-19 tests inside the Indiana University athletic department has led to an indefinite pause of voluntary workouts for several IU programs, men’s basketball among them.
The department announced late Friday afternoon that Archie Miller’s team, along with men’s soccer, field hockey and wrestling have each been instructed to halt training after 14 participants tested positive for COVID-19 this week.
Since June 8, IU has administered 1,417 COVID-19 tests to athletes, coaches and athletics staffers, with 63 positive tests reported in that time.
