Whop Philyor is already’s Indiana’s top receiver.
On Thursday, he joined a list of the nation’s best players at his position.
The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation revealed its watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, which is handed out annually to the nation’s top FBS receiver, regardless of position. One of 55 preseason candidates for the award, Philyor enters his senior season with 126 catches, 1,572 yards, nine touchdowns, six 100-yard games and five double-digit reception games for his career. He’s also the 13th Hoosier to amass both 125 receptions and 1,500 yards.
This is the second straight year Philyor has found himself on the Biletnikoff Award radar. Last fall, he posted 70 receptions for 1,002 yards and five scores, while posting three double-digit catch games — a single-season program record.
