IU draws Providence in Mau— err ... Asheville Invitational

A potential matchup with North Carolina looms on the other side of the bracket

IU’s first-round matchup in the Maui Asheville Invitational has been decided.

The Hoosiers will face Providence in their tournament opener on Nov. 30 at 2:30 p.m. It will be the first meeting between the schools since they tipped off in the consolation game of the 1973 Final Four, a game IU won 97-79 in St. Louis.
