Earlier this summer former IU forward Juwan Morgan got a chance with the Utah Jazz after going undrafted. After playing Summer League with the team, his career will move forward in Salt Lake City.
On Monday The Athletic’s Michael Scotto reported that Morgan has signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Jazz.
”All hard work brings a profit but this is only the beginning,” Morgan said. “I’m ready to do whatever is needed of me to help the team succeed.”
An Exhibit 10 contract will carry Morgan through training camp. The league-minimum deal can be converted into either a regular season contract or a two-way deal, or it can expire at the end of training camp and Morgan will become a free agent.
During Summer League Morgan played in six games, averaging 4.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and an assist per game in 17 minutes per game. He also averaged nearly one block and one steal.
Training camps across the league will open in late September, with specific dates still to be announced.
