Coy Cronk is the latest Hoosier to be named to a preseason award watch list. The Lafayette, Indiana native is one of 83 selected players on the Outland Trophy Watch List, awarded annually to the nation’s most outstanding interior offensive linemani n the FBS.
Cronk is the second offensive lineman for Indiana to receive preseason honors—Hunter Littlejohn was named to the Rimington Trophy Watch List last week. That award honors the nation’s most outstanding center.
Cronk, who will be a senior this year, has started all 36 games in which he has appeared and has missed just one game due to injury. He was named to the 247Sports True Freshman All-America team in 2016, as well as ESPN.com and BTN.com’s All-Freshman teams.
Just last season, Cronk was named the offensive player of the week after Indiana’s win over Virginia, and ranked second in the Big Ten in first downs per game.
