In January Hoosier and Pacers fans alike mourned as star Victor Oladipo suffered an injury that eventually was announced as a ruptured quad tendon and ended his season. On Friday those same fans got a glimpse of hope.
Oladipo posted a video to his Instagram account that showed that the shooting guard isn’t just up and around, but after months of rehab following surgery he’s running again.
Obviously it doesn’t appear to be a full sprint, but any progress is good at this point. He walked without a brace or crutches for the first time post-operation in late March, so it seems like his recovery is going well. It appears that Oladipo’s legendary work ethic could help him return to the court sooner than later, but he’s still got work to do. It was reported in January that his recovery could take about nine months, meaning that he would be able to return to the court near the end of October.
