On Thursday it was announced that IU will host Florida State in the 2019 Big Ten-ACC Challenge.
The Hoosiers and Seminoles will square off on December 3 in their first matchup since 1992, when a team featuring Calbert Cheaney, Damon Bailey and Alan Henderson took an overtime win over FSU on its way to a Preseason NIT Championship.
IU is 4-0 all-time against Florida State. The Seminoles had a strong season last year, finishing 29-8 and playing their way to the Sweet 16 before being eliminated by Gonzaga. FSU has also won three straight games in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge and has a 9-11 record in the event compared to IU’s 7-11 record.
This announcement takes us one step closer to knowing the full schedule for the Hoosiers in 2019-20 as now we can add the Seminoles to a non-conference slate that also includes a Jimmy V Classic matchup with UConn, a home matchup with Eric Musselman’s first Arkansas squad and the Crossroads Classic game against Notre Dame.
The game will be broadcasted on one of ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU. Tip time is still TBA. You can check out the full slate of games below:
