No, this isn't about dropping football, though that might be another post. ESPN is running a series on programs with a dominant coach in their past who overshadows the program. Of course they wrote one up on IU and Bob Knight:

My own sense is that most IU fans have moved on from Bob Knight, but not from the expectations he generated for the program in the 70's, 80's, and early 90's. And whether that's fair or not, every coach who takes the Indiana job knows the expectations.
