SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK.
Fred Glass: "Our main goals with this initiative are to enhance the gameday experience for our fans and reduce alcohol-related incidents in and around the stadium."

That’s right. Following in the lead of Purdue and several other schools, Indiana will sell beer at Memorial Stadium during home games this fall. This has been a pet peeve of CQ staff as well as the fanbase at large for a while now, and we’re glad that IU is finally making this happen. For a crowd that is notorious for leaving the game early, this move should hopefully keep fans in the seats. It’s also another way for the department to generate revenue, plus studies have shown that arrest rates go down at college football games with beer sales, so it’s the smart option as well!
So, to recap, IU has done so much fan service to football fans this offseason you’d think they were directing a Game of Thrones episode. Since the disappointing end of last season, we’ve seen IU get new OC as well as a dedicated full-time DC, bring the names back to the jerseys, continue their great recruiting efforts, and now are bringing alcohol sales to the stadium.
Now all we need are some more wins.
