After losing sophomore De’ron Davis to an Achilles injury midway through the year, Morgan stepped up and found himself to be IU’s go-to man in the post. This breakthrough season earned him a 2nd-team All-B1G honor with some arguments of a possible 1st-team placement.
The 6-8 Missouri native returns after averaging 16.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks in 2017-18. This move will also add some needed experience as Morgan and Zach Mcroberts will be the only seniors on the team that will have a majority of its players be underclassmen.
This news comes as part of a new found wave of optimism since fans last saw the team bow out to Rutger(s) in the Big Ten Tournament. Since the loss Indiana has added top prospect Romeo Langford and Saint Mary’s grad transfer Evan Fitzner.
