On Monday at 7pm, one of the highest-profile recruitment battles in Indiana will finally come to an end, when top New Albany recruit Romeo Langford will make his collegiate decision. The five-star has narrowed his options down to three: Indiana, Vanderbilt, and Kansas. And while the early favorite in past months might have been Vandy, the tide seems to have shifted towards the Hoosiers in recent weeks.
Here’s the latest going into Monday:
Romeo’s father, Tim, is being ambiguous about his son’s choice, according to a WDRB interview:
“If it’s not IU and I don’t know for sure if it’s them or not,” Tim Langford said. “If they are truly Romeo fans, the difference between being school fans not my son’s fans. So when all is said and done, who’s really for my son, who’s a fan of him.”
Romeo, however, says he knows where he’s going, according to Jeff Rabjohns (subscription required).
Around Southern Indiana, pro-IU signs have continued to pop up for Langford. Already, local Taco Bells have encouraged Romeo to Live Mas and go to IU. As you can see here, Indiana is the preferred destination of Clarksville body shops for Romeo.

Hoopster’s, a sports bar in Jeffersonville, has a similar message:

Only about 72 more hours to wait. Good luck holding your breath until then!
