Yes I know this is coming just a few minutes before the game starts, but the #22 Hoosiers (10-2) play their last non-con game of the season tonight against the Jacksonville Dolphins (7-6), an Atlantic Sun school that sounds like a very mediocre AFC team.

Jacksonville is not a great team - their best win is on the road against #213 South Alabama. They also are one of the worst 3-point teams in the country, hitting only 25.8% of their shots. The Dolphins also like to play fast - they’re ranked 55th in adjusted tempo.

As for the Hoosiers, they need to stay focused before their long holiday layoff, and not let Jacksonville control the tempo. Other than that, the key should be to avoid injuries, and hopefully to get reps for reserves like Clifton Moore and Damezi Anderson. Devonte Green should also see extended playing time with Rob Phinisee out after suffering a concussion last game against Central Arkansas.

The basketball’s about to begin. Let’s hope the Hoosiers can send off 2018 on a high note.
