Juan Harris’s recruitment to Indiana has been a long journey, but it looks like the former 3-star defensive tackle and Chicago native will finally be joining the Hoosiers.

After committing to Iowa all the way back in 2015, Harris later decommitted from the Hawkeyes. In July 2016, Harris committed to Indiana, before decommitting in the fall and recommitting to the Hoosiers by the end of the year.
However, Harris ended up unenrolling from IU and instead went to a JUCO, Independence CC in Kansas, for two years. This past season, Harris played in nine games for Independence, making 11 solo tackles and 38 overall tackles for the Pirates.
After two years of JUCO play, Harris has kept his commitment to IU, and has re-signed with the Hoosiers. Hopefully his experience at Independence has prepared him to make an impact on the IU defensive line starting next season.
