Indiana’s recruiting history isn’t a storied or illustrious one, but the fact Tom Allen is going to bring in the second-highest rated recruit in Hoosier history is a huge deal. Sampson James flipped from Ohio State to Indiana unexpectedly and will provide Indiana with another talented running back.

For Avon this past fall, James rushed for 1,043 yards on 189 carries with 11 touchdowns. He also caught eight passes for 40 yards and a score. His junior season, though, is when he broke onto the scene as he rushed for 1,782 yards and 20 touchdowns in 13 games.
Despite the disappointing senior season, James is still a decorated recruit that could step in right away and make an impact, something IU fans saw plenty of this season. James is ranked the ninth-best running back in the country and the third-best recruit in Indiana.
Now, sit back and watch James make most of the Indianapolis area schools look foolish.
