The Indiana Hoosiers men’s basketball team was among the teams receiving votes in the preseason AP Poll, which came out on Monday afternoon. The Hoosiers tallied 98 points, which slots them at No. 28 in the poll. Coincidentally, KenPom also has Indiana at No. 28 in his preseason metrics.
The Hoosiers bring back a deep roster that features an All-Big Ten player in Juwan Morgan and one of the most highly anticipated freshmen in program history in Romeo Langford. With five of the top seven scorers returning, expectations in Bloomington are high.
Elsewhere in the Big Ten, Michigan State checked in at No. 10. Fresh off an appearance in the National Championship Game, Michigan will start the season as No. 19. The only other Big Ten to crack the top 25 is Purdue, who sneaks in at No. 24.
Indiana opens up the regular season November 6 against Chicago State.
