5-star prospect Romeo Langford was in the news today, as his father Tim Langford has told Brain Snow of Scout that younger Langford has cut his list to Indiana, Louisville, North Carolina, Kansas, UCLA, Kentucky and Vanderbilt.

The New Albany native’s list is surprisingly missing Duke. The Blue Devils were long considered to be one of the favorites to land Langford, but did not make his reported list of seven schools.
Langford has been considered a priority for Archie Miller’s staff since Miller was hired as Indiana’s head coach this past spring. Miller, while not allowed to comment on recruits, did say that he, “Knows where New Albany, Indiana is” while speaking at Huber’s Winery in southern Indiana over the summer.
Langford is a unanimous 5-star recruit, listed as the 5th best prospect and top shooting guard in the 2018, per 247 Sports. Rivals also lists Langford as the #5 prospect and also has him as the 2nd best guard in the class.
There is no time table for when Langford will verbally commit, though it is widely speculated that Langford will wait until the spring to make a final decision.
