Scales had a stellar junior year for the Hoosiers in 2016, leading the nation with 92 solo tackles. Scales also added with 9 sacks, 25 tackles for loss, as well as a pick 6, which led to a 2nd team All-Big Ten selection a year ago.
In addition to being put on ESPN’s preseason All-American team, Scales was also put on the initial watch list for the Bednarik Award last month, which goes to the nation’s top defensive player.
