After bursting onto the scene for the Dallas Mavericks this season, Yogi Ferrell earned All-Rookie Second Team honors on Monday afternoon.

Ferrell edged out Rodney McGruder of Miami for his spot on the team while also earning seven votes for All-Rookie First Team.
In 46 games this season, Ferrell averaged 10.0 points, 3.7 assists, 2.4 rebounds and shot 38.6 percent from three. After starting the season with the Brooklyn Nets and featuring in 10 games, Ferrell was waived and spent nearly two months in the D-League.
Upon returning, this time with the Mavericks, Ferrell exploded with an average of 15.2 points on 46.7 percent three-point shooting in his first nine games back in the league.
Over his 36 games with the Mavericks, Ferrell averaged 11.3 points and 4.3 assists while connecting on 40.3 percent of his threes.
