According to Mike Miller of The Herald-Times, Riley Crean will not be playing at Indiana next season:
Just spoke with Riley Crean. He will not attend Indiana to play baseball next year. Crean will go to IMG for postgrad year. #iubase

This announcement came soon after the Chicago White Sox selected Crean in the 35th round of this year’s MLB Draft. Crean originally committed to the Hoosiers last November, and several reports claimed he would still play at Indiana despite the firing of his father, Tom Crean. One such report came from Crean himself when he appeared on The Dan Dakich Show in March.
This decision will allow Crean more flexibility in the future, as he will be eligible for next year’s MLB Draft. Had he enrolled at Indiana, he would have to wait multiple years before being drafted again.
Despite this interesting turn of events, the Hoosiers still have a solid recruiting class and they should have a strong pitching staff next season.
