The son of Indiana Football’s Director of Player Development will be spending his college career under his father’s tutelage.

Tom Allen has been quickly building momentum on the recruiting trail, and now he has found his fourth commitment of the Class of 2018 in Kristian Pechac.

Pechac is a 3-star recruit out of Bloomington South and is most notably known for being the son of IU’s Director of Player Development Mike Pechac.

According to 247 Sports, Kristian Pechac is considered to be the 6th best player in the state of Indiana, and the 31st best running back in the country.

As a junior at Bloomington South in 2016, Pechac had 266 carries for 2,030 yards and 28 touchdowns.

Prior to Kristian’s verbal commitment, Coach Mike Pechac took to twitter to try to recruit his son.

Thanks to the recruiting efforts made by Kristian’s father, this commitment should come as little surprise. With that said, the lack in surprise shouldn’t devalue its importance. Kristian is a talented back that could becoming the running back of the future for Indiana.

Kristian is the first running back commit for Indiana’s new running back coach Mike Hart. Kristian’s development at the program could be indicative of Hart’s ability to coach in this new role.

Here are some highlights from Kristian’s junior year in high school:
