2017 recruit Al Durham to remain with Hoosiers

After once asking for his release from his letter of intent, Al Durham has had a change of heart and will remain a Hoosier

The Hoosiers have had the first domino fall in the 2017 class as 3-star recruit Al Durham will remain committed to the Hoosiers.

Durham has had a whirlwind of a couple weeks, requesting his release in the immediate aftermath of the firing of Tom Crean.

Miller addressed the necessity of keeping the recruits early on and had set up meetings with all three members of the 2017 class this weekend.

Durham committed to Indiana back in late 2015. Currently, Durham is listed at #232 in the 247 Sports rankings.

Here’s what our own David Siegel said of Durham after his commitment.

Durham can play anywhere from 1-3. With a decent handle and a reliable shot, Durham has worked recently to start using his considerable 6'4" frame to his advantage. That work has shown in recent months, as his stock has risen dramatically over that time frame, all the way up to #100 overall in the class of 2017 rankings for 247 Sports. If he continues on his upward trajectory, Indiana may have landed itself a major piece of their future.

This is a solid first win on the recruiting trail for Miller as he heads into a pivotal weekend for the class of 2017.
