Steve Alford’s bowing out of the Indiana coaching search late last night seemed to be an indication that Fred Glass and company might have their man. And if you’re to believe the most reliable reporter in all of basketball, it seems they do.

Per Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Archie Miller is nearing a deal to become the next head basketball coach at Indiana.

It’s been a wild 72 hours of rumors in Bloomington. Reports (that likely weren’t true) ran wild about Billy Donovan visiting campus, and Steve Alford’s been offered the job a couple of times if you believe reports.

This is one you can probably believe in, if it’s Woj.

The current Dayton head man has won the last two A-10 Championships, and holds a career record of 139-63 in 6 seasons in Dayton.
