After his firing at Indiana, it’s fair to wonder what Tom Crean’s next move will be — whether it be a year off, coaching, and spending some time in a TV studio.
Thanks to a report from Gary Parrish at CBS, it seems he might not have to wait long for his next coaching opportunity: LSU’s reaching out to the former Indiana coach.
LSU, via a third party, has contacted Tom Crean to gauge his possible interest in coaching the Tigers, a source told CBS Sports.

Interesting!
Not that LSU is a bad job by any stretch, but it’s fair to wonder if Crean would have had interest in moving the family to Baton Rouge. The entire Crean/Harbaugh clan has deep midwestern roots — and Tom’s primary recruiting success has been either there or in the Mideast & Northeast. Christian Watford & Will Sheehey were nearly alone as Crean prospects from SEC territory.
