It should come as no surprise, but Brad Stevens made it all but official on Friday.
He’s staying in Boston.
With rumors abuzz surrounding the Indiana University head coaching position, Stevens spoke to the media on Friday and there was no non-answer to be found.
“I don’t speak to the rumor mill or anything else,” Stevens, 40, said. “I’ve made pretty clear I’m going to be here. I’ve been asked about that quite a bit. And I’ll keep saying the same thing. I’m going to be here until the Celtics decide they want to move in another direction.”
Stevens also spoke on the Hoosier program directly, but remained steadfast in his commitment to the Celtics.

To say Stevens coming to IU a longshot would be an understatement, but this should but all speculation entirely and crosses a very marquee name off the list. You can move on to other, um, rumors.
