Even with Cuonzo Martin accepting the Missouri job that he once seemed destined for, Tom Crean’s future in Bloomington still seems far from sealed. Despite loud rumblings, rumors, and fans asking for answers, Indiana athletics has yet to speak out with a defense of the head coach or removing him from his position. That probably needs to come sooner, rather than later.
Still, one of Indiana’s most prominent boosters is speaking out on behalf of Indiana’s head coach. Here’s Mark Cuban on Twitter, just a few moments ago.
I think @tomcrean is a great coach. @IUBB_Hoosiers is fortunate to have him. https://t.co/6KyR3SftDe

That’s arguably Indiana’s most prominent alum -- and athletic department donor & booster — speaking out on Crean’s behalf on Twitter. It’s not nothing.
Cuban is personally reaping the benefits of Crean’s player development and his program right now, of course. Yogi Ferrell seems to be the Mavericks starting point guard of now and the future after an impressive start to his rookie season in Dallas.
