This is an NIT blog now. With the full NCAA Tournament field announced, we already know the Top-4 seeds for the NIT bracket, which will be announced at 8:30 tonight on ESPNU. The first four teams out of the NCAA Tournament field will be the NIT’s top overall seeds. Those four teams are California, Illinois State, Iowa, and Syracuse. The full bracket is below.
Indiana will be the 3-seed in Syracuse’s region, but they won’t host a first round game. Indiana administrators have elected to forgo a home game because students are on spring break — a laughably terrible and uncreative solution to what seems like a not-that-big-of-a-deal problem. They’ll play on the road at Georgia Tech on Tuesday night at 9pm.
You can find our full bracket and breakdown of every team in the NIT field right here.
