It’s Selection Sunday. Arguably one of the holiest days in a sports fan’s year.
If you were to make the argument about why sports are like religion, Selection Sunday is probably at least talking point number three.
You spend over three months awaiting and preparing for this day. The day in which the all important and intelligent selection committee will seal your favorite team’s fate.
It’s one of the holiest and most joyful days of the year, because you as a fan get to find out who will be selected for the most exciting and competitive tournament in the world...
The National Invitation Tournament
Only the elite teams of college basketball find themselves in the NIT, so tonight should be an exciting opportunity to see where they will all be slotted.
I’m talking top-notch programs like Belmont, Oakland, and UNC Greensboro.
To tune into this illustrious selection show, all the information you’ll need can be found below:
How to watch the selection show:
Time: 8:30 p.m. ET
TV: ESPNU
Online: WatchESPN
Now in regards to how to physically prepare yourself to watch the selection show, I personally suggest doing whatever you can to relax yourself. NIT selection can be stressful.
Maybe try to find yourself a soothing candle. Then, pop in that new Future album, “HNDRXX.” Maybe listen to the song “Incredible” a few times. Allow it to remind yourself about the caliber of a tournament in which you will be viewing in the future. That should keep you calm, as you await tonight’s selection show.
