Gruden will also be in attendance at the spring game, according to running backs coach Deland McCullough

The Indiana offensive coaches, led by new offensive coordinator Mike DeBord, headed down to Tampa Bay yesterday to meet with renowned football coach and current ESPN analyst Jon Gruden. Along with DeBord, running backs coach Deland McCullough, quarterbacks coach Nick Sheridan, wide receivers coach Grant heard, and offensive line coach Darren Hiller were in attendance at the Gruden home.

Gruden, who won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2003, has a strong connection to Indiana. He was a ballboy for the IU men’s team when Bob Knight led the Hoosiers to an undefeated national championship in 1976. He is widely regarded as one of the great offensive minds of the modern game, and IU has plenty to gain from this meeting

Who knows? Maybe it won’t too long until Spider 2 Y Banana finds its way into the Hoosier playbook.
