Welllllllllllllllllllllp.
Per a report from 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong, Indiana running backs coach Deland McCullough is being targeted for a job on USC’s staff -- and has already interviewed for the position.
That’s not good news for Indiana.
McCullough reigned over Indiana’s rise in the running game over the 2013-2016 seasons, responsible for recruiting & tutoring Tevin Coleman and Jordan Howard to NFL success and Devine Redding to back to back 1,000-yard seasons. He’s also been instrumental in his role as a recruiter for the Hoosiers, including in this cycle after Kevin Wilson’s departure.
He’s currently the lone remaining offensive staff holdover from the Wilson era. If McCullough were to depart, only Noah Joseph, William Inge, and Brandon Shelby would remain from Indiana’s 2015 Pinstripe Bowl coaching staff.
Here’s a quick summary of all the offensive turnover for the Hoosiers since Kevin Wilson’s resignation.
