LeShaun Minor checks all the boxes of a “must get” for Tom Allen.
Minor plays a position of great need for the Indiana Hoosiers. Last season the Hoosiers lacked any semblance of an ability to rush the passer, and now they have to also replace Ralph Green III.
Minor is a top-15 in-state recruit.
Minor currently attends Ben Davis High School, the same High School that Tom Allen formerly coached at from 1998 to 2006.
LeShaun Minor is a recruit that Indiana genuinely couldn’t miss out on, and now we know they won’t.

HOW HE STACKS UP
According to 247 Sports, Minor is the 11th best recruit in the state of Indiana, and the 66th best defensive tackle in the country. At 6-3 and 293 pounds, Minor brings some much needed athleticism to IU’s defensive line.
Minor had 80 tackles and 6.5 sacks in his senior season. Minor was also considering eight other offers including from Ball State, Illinois, and Minnesota.
WHAT IT MEANS FOR INDIANA
Indiana returns a great deal of production. The only real hole on this team’s defense is on the defensive line. That means Minor could get the opportunity to make an impact early. We have already seen with A’shon Riggins and Marcelino Ball that Tom Allen is not afraid to play freshman. Tom Allen will probably have very little reservations playing Minor.
