Honest Question: At what point do we part ways with Archie?

Put away your pitchforks, people! I'm not saying that it's time to can Archie Miller yet or that we are even close to that point. As far as I am concerned, the jury is still out on Miller, but the future looks bright. However, even the most staunch Crean haters and green college basketball initiates have got to look at this season and see that it is not going well.

It was our loss to IPFW last year (Away, by 3, in overtime, and in November, I might add) that started the avalanche that cost Crean his job. This was after a Sweet 16 run and a Big Ten Championship to boot. What are we to think when Archie's team gets blown out by 20 at home in one of basketball's most hallowed venues?

I get it--it's Archie's first year and Crean got to keep his job after an abysmal first year in Bloomington, so it only makes sense to grant Archie some patience while he does his thing. However, Crean inherited a program in shambles post-Sampson. Losing JBJ, OG, and Thomas Bryant certainly drained this year's roster, but Archie's certainly in a better place to succeed than Crean was nine years ago.

All of this brings me around to my original question: how long is Archie's grace period? One year to teach his guys a new way to play? 4 years to fully stock a team with his choice of players? What do you think?
