The final 3 were cut down from Langford’s list of 6 schools, as Kentucky, North Carolina and UCLA were all removed from his list. The New Albany native also stopped considering Louisville, who was long considered a favorite to land Langford, about 6 weeks ago when the Cardinals were cited in the FBI’s investigation into college basketball.
While Indiana and Kansas were both expected to make the final 3, Vanderbilt did come as a slight surprise. The Commodores are a co-favorite with the Hoosiers to fellow land 5 star guard Darius Garland, who will decide between Vandy and Indiana on Monday. Whichever school can land Garland will likely help their cause with Langford.
Langford, who is ranked fifth in 247’s composite rankings, will decide on a school in the spring.
