Indiana linebacker Marcus Oliver declares for the NFL Draft

He becomes the second Indiana Hoosier to declare for the draft in the last, like, eight minutes.

In a slightly more surprising but just as understandable move, Marcus Oliver will be joining his teammate Devine Redding in the NFL.

Oliver is coming off a monstrous junior campaign in which he was second on the team in tackles, with 19.5 TFL/sacks, 2 pass break-ups, and an absurd 5 forced fumbles. He and fellow linebacker Tegray Scales became one of the more intimidating linebacker combinations in the Big Ten and their combined efforts in now-head coach Tom Allen's 4-2-5 defense lead Indiana's resurgence on that side of the ball this season.

Oliver is the 43rd-ranked inside linebacker on CBS Sports, we'll likely find out more about his projection in the coming days and weeks as the pre-draft process gears up in earnest.

We wish Marcus Oliver a long and illustrious NFL career, and thank him for his contributions to the Indiana Hoosiers football team.
