Turns out people like to attend Indiana basketball games.
The Hoosier men were 7th in home attendance for this past season, good for third in the Big Ten, which was the nation's top conference for attendance this year. The women came in at 38th, averaging a little under 3,000 fans per game.
The Indiana men's program finished 9th in overall attendance as well, which counts all games (home, road, and neutral) which was, again, good for third in the Big Ten. Maryland lead the conference in both categories, thanks to leading the nation in positive change from last season, with a tick over 5,000 more fans coming to see the Terrapins than last season.
That said: Indiana is disputing the numbers, it would seem.
IU announces Hoosiers counted 309,477 fans through the doors last basketball season. Fourth-highest total in the nation. #iubb

Whatever the real number is, a lot of people came to see the Hoosiers and will probably continue to do so from now until the implosion of the universe.
UPDATE (1:25 PM): We're all in agreement.
Correction: Total #iubb attendance last year was 290,809, which ranked ninth nationally. That's 17,106 per game, seventh nationally.
