Oh hey, it's June, that means it's time for ... bracketology?
No that can't be ri- oh no yep we're doing bracketology today. With less than five months until the season starts, this makes sense.
The latest projection from ESPN Bracketologist Joe Lunardi has the Hoosiers as a 3-seed playing in the Midwest regional, which will be in Kansas City this season. The South regional will feed into Memphis, the East into New York City, and the West into San Jose; with all roads leading to the Final Four in Glendale.
Lunardi also has the Hoosiers headed to Milwaukee for the first two rounds and the old stomping grounds for Coach Tom Crean, who coached Marquette at the Bradley Center. That would be a bummer for the Hoosiers and their fans, with Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis being in the opening rounds rotation this season. Indiana would play 14-seeded Belmont and then the winner between Baylor and Creighton should they advance, with 1-seed Kansas and 2-seed Virginia also in the bracket with them.
I wouldn't anticipate many changes to this between now and March of 2017, good luck to the Hoosiers in the Big Dance.
