Report: Indiana's Troy Williams will remain in NBA Draft

Despite the fact he still has time on the clock, the decision is reportedly made.

According to a report from Justin Albers of Allhoosiers.com, IU forward Troy Williams will not return to school next year and will remain in the NBA Draft. Despite the fact that he still had some time before he had to make a final decision – the combine isn't until next week, and Williams would have ten days after it ends to decide whether to stay or leave – it appears he's heard what he needs to hear.

While Williams had some highs and lows in his IU career, he was on balance a very good player and one that this team will miss going forward. With De'Ron Davis and Freddie McSwain coming in and internal replacements like OG Anunoby and Juwan Morgan available, there are certainly ways that Tom Crean can mitigate the loss of Williams. But an explosive senior forward with highlight reel athleticism and a developing jump shot is tough to lose.

Either way, good luck to Troy Williams as a professional. Here's hoping he does the cream and crimson proud at the next level.
