Hoosier fans in Chicago have good news -- Jordan Howard will be a Chicago Bear.
Despite spending just one year in Bloomington, running back Jordan Howard etched his name in Hoosier history with one memorable season that ended in a bowl game where the kick was good. With big shoes to fill left by Tevin Coleman, Howard stepped in and finished with 1,213 rushing yards on 196 carries with nine rushing touchdowns and 11 receptions for 106 yards.
His performance earned him a spot on the All-Big Ten first team for both the coaches and media. He also was named ot the Doak Walker and Maxwell Awards watch lists.
Howard was a one-man wrecking crew against Michigan, nearly securing an upset seemingly on his own by racking up 238 yards on 35 carries with three total touchdowns, marking his season-high in rushing yards and the 10th-most in IU history.
He's the second Hoosier selected so far -- with Jason Spriggs going to the Pacers in Round 2 yesterday. Nate Sudfeld, Darius Latham, and Zack Shaw could all still be selected.
