Smack dab in the middle of IU's opening round rout of Chattanooga, recruiting analyst Jerry Meyer took to twitter to announce some news regarding Thon Maker's recruitment:
Thon Maker visits per Ed Smith:

UNLV- March 18
Arizona State- April 18
ND- April 25
Thon Maker has unofficially visited Indiana. Guardian Ed Smith just relayed to me that they know what need to know. https://t.co/ghMK6qjob5

The wording of Meyer's tweets are a bit vague and seem to insinuate that Maker will not be taking an official visit to Indiana. However, at the same time, Maker's guardian stating that his camp "knows what they need to know" about IU implies that the Hoosiers are still very much in the running. To further this point, Kansas, a school that has seemingly gained a lot of momentum over the past few months, is not listed at all on Meyer's report, but is still very much in play for Maker.
While 247Sports' Crystal Ball has 91% of analysts predicting he will attend Arizona State, that number should be taken with a grain of salt, as Maker's recruitment continues to be an outlier. There are favorites for his services, but the ability for major changes in his recruitment should not only be considered, but expected. Stay tuned.
