Big, big news on the Indiana basketball recruiting front tonight.
Fresh off his weekend visit to Bloomington, North Central 5-star forward Kris Wilkes has narrowed his list to three — Indiana, Illinois, and UCLA.

That’s a big development, and seemingly a big positive for Indiana. UConn and Xavier were thought to be for the 6-6, 170 pound swingman, but he’s elected to forgo his visits to those schools and eliminate him from his recruitment. Wilkes is fresh off his visit to Bloomington, where he watched Indiana knock off Michigan State. I can also report he enjoyed brunch with Tom Crean, Tim Buckley, and Fred Glass at Uptown Cafe Sunday morning. My huevos rancheros were excellent, thank you.
Now it’s down to his home state school, New Castle native Steve Alford, and Muncie native John Groce for the Indiana high school star.
