2016 4-star shooting guard Curtis Jones commits to Indiana

The 4-star shooting guard is coming to Bloomington next season

Some fun CROOTIN news to start your weekend with this morning, as IU fans are starting to get a clearer vision of what life after Yogi will look like.

According to Paul Biancardi of ESPN, 4-star shooting guard Curtis Jones has committed to play for IU next season.

Jones is considered a top-10 shooting guard in the class of 2016, and is ranked 55th nationally of all players on the ESPN 100, 64th nationally on Rivals, and 83rd nationally on 247 Sports. Jones is originally from Virginia but currently plays at Huntington Prep in West Virginia, the same school where Thomas Bryant played before coming to IU. To add to the IU connection, Jones has played in the AAU program for Boo Williams, who is of course Troy's uncle.

Jones is Tom Crean's second commitment of the class of 2016 after Grant Gelon, and third new player for next season if you count Pitt transfer Josh Newkirk. The commitment of Jones raises the question of whether Miles Bridges, who recently cut his list to three, will follow in his footsteps. Bridges is Jones' teammate at Huntington and visited IU on the same weekend as Jones in late August.
