According to Adam Zagoria over at ZagsBlog, Notre Dame has gotten involved with the 2016-then 2015-now 2016 again forward from Orangeville Prep.
“[Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey] feels that Notre Dame’s academics, style of play, offensive efficiency, and player development will assist Thon in achieving all of his goals. He has not had an opportunity to work with an elite level player like Thon, at Notre Dame, but he has developed players who were not considered elite level talent into NBA lottery picks at Notre Dame. Furthermore he has worked with elite level players, such as Thon, at both DeMatha and Duke who stretched the floor before the term stretch 4.”
Notre Dame joins Indiana and Arizona State in hopes of securing one of Maker's visits this fall. Thon Maker is in the process of scheduling said visits after deciding against reclassifying and finishing out his prep career at Orangeville.
