Max Bielfeldt, a 6'8", 245 lb PF who played with Michigan last season, was in Bloomington yesterday to visit IU before he decides on where he will finish out his eligibility. Bielfeldt averaged 5.1 points and 3.6 rebounds in 14.5 minutes of action per game last season for the Wolverines. He has also taken a visit to Nebraska, and is considering DePaul and Iowa State, as well.

Having won an appeal that allows him to transfer within the Big Ten, the recent dismissal of Devin Davis and Hanner Mosquera-Perea has provided an intriguing possible landing spot for the graduate transfer. With 5 scholarship players having transferred or been dismissed from the 2013-14 roster and an obvious lack of frontcourt depth, the fit is clear for both sides.

Tom Crean and his staff have been aggressive in their search to fill the remaining open roster spots, and while it's unclear as to when Bielfeldt's decision will come, it is safe to assume that it will be sooner rather than later.
