Depending how you look at it, good/bad news for Hornets forward and former Hoosier Cody Zeller today. From the release posted on Hornets.com:
Charlotte Hornets forward Cody Zeller underwent successful surgery today to repair a tendon in his right shoulder, as well as remove a bone spur and scar tissue. The procedure was completed by Hornets Team Physician Dr. Marcus Cook at Novant Orthopedic Hospital in Charlotte. Zeller's recovery time is expected to be approximately three months.
It's certainly a setback for Zeller, who's coming off a solid second season in the league where he started more games than not (46) on the year. Still, his future is secure with the team for the next two seasons -- Michael Jordan and the Hornets front office picked up Zeller's rookie option back in October. The 2013 4th-overall pick out of Washington, Indiana averaged career highs in in points (7.6), rebounds (5.8), assists (1.6) and minutes (24.0) throughout the 2014 season.
UPDATE:
Cody seems really medicated.
