THE DAY IS HERE.
It's Selection Sunday, and later tonight, we'll hear Indiana's fate as to whether or not the Hoosiers have made the NCAA Tournament. Yesterday, we reviewed the pros and cons of Indiana's tournament resume to see how the Hoosiers look in the overall picture. Today, we're going to compare Indiana to other teams on the bubble.
Below, I created a spreadsheet of the NCAA Tournament resumes of 12 teams that look to be on the bubble for the tournament at this time. Of these 12 teams, only eight of them would likely get into the tournament at the moment. Were UConn to win the AAC title game this afternoon, only seven of these would likely be in. And yes, I copied the categories for this spreadsheet from a Seth Davis tweet, but it's helpful because does show all the considerations for what the Selection Committee will be looking at. (Note: Tulsa lost to a Division 2 team, which doesn't show up on here).
