It's Monday, so it's time for RAPID REACTIONS and other HOT BRACKET TAKES.
Here's your weekly link round-up of where the Hoosiers sit in various polls, rankings, ratings, and bracket projections.
The Hoosiers are in at #22 in the AP Poll this week, up from 23rd last week. Kentucky holds at 1. Only three Big Ten teams in the poll (Wisconsin at 5, Maryland at 16). Other Indiana opponents in the poll: Louisville (10), Georgetown (21), Butler (25).
Hoosiers are 21st among coaches, one slot ahead of Georgetown. Wisconsin's at 5, Maryland falls five spots after the loss in Assembly to 13. Kentucky is a unanimous number-one for the first time this season. Maybe athletic facilities don't get FS1 -- Butler isn't ranked among coaches.
The Hoosiers are up to 31st in the RPI, per ESPN. More impressive -- Indiana is 3-2 against the RPI Top 20. Georgetown, Maryland, Louisville, Butler, & SMU all fall between 12 and 20 in the rankings.
42nd in KenPom's ratings, Indiana's now projected for a 22-9 overall record, with 12 of those wins coming in conference play. He projects the Hoosiers as a favorite in every game but three the rest of the season -- at Wisconsin, at Maryland, and yes, at Purdue on Wednesday.
